If his tail was docked before the ban, then yes he can still be shown.
That’s a standard with Vislas, Australian Shepherds, etc…if their tail is short when they’re born its usually docked, so his tail would probably have to be docked if he is show dog material.
You don’t want to show him anyways so why does it matter?

As far as the docking of your dog is concerned, yes, he can be shown, but the white markings will be considered to be a fault. The breed standard states:
Russet gold, small white marks on chest and feet, though acceptable, undesirable.
If your dog (no matter what breed) was docked before the law came in it will be perfectly acceptable to show him and he will not be judged any differently from undocked entries in that aspect.
