I have a vizsla, she is loosing her hair for no apparent reason.someone help?

vizsla
mike t asked:

she has been on amitriptlaine for a nervous condition. I took her off of it over a year ago. I am thinking that maybe she needs to go back onto something. Has anyone experienced hair loss due to nervous conditions in dogs??

You may want to put her on supplements. I use Show Stopper I get it on line. It’s good for ever thing stress and good coats as well .I love what it have done for my dogs. I get mine from Body Building, but if you google it you may get better prices. Good luck;^)

Is she on a quality holistic diet? depending on what you are feeding her – that could be the cause of both conditions. You may want to get her thyroid checked

It might also be related to diet. Besides vitamin and mineral supplements, which are very important, I’d buy a good book on home cooking for dogs. My German Shepard has become much healthier since I started cooking for her, and I can make a batch of food every few days so it isn’t too much work. I vary her diet but use a lot of ground turkey (which is cheap) and canned vegetables I had to look Vizslas up. Beautiful dogs!
