buy a good quality training book, i have 7 dogs and learned everything from books the 2 i did take to training did nothing as theres always other dogs there putting your dogs off, do it your self from a book its good to see the results, i have 5 12 week old jack russells and they all sit, stay, dont have a lead, toilet trained, lay down etc etc. it takes time but its worth giving a try and you must have 110% patience as they are hard to train and only 5 minutes a day to start with otherwise it wont work as they just get bored, good luck with whatever you decide xxxx

try contacting the kennel club in clarges street, they should be able to help. they put me on to some classes in earlsfield which were quite reasonable but this is probably too far for you. good luck!

the Alan Menzies dog training club is fantastic and reasonably priced. you can get in touch on 0207 833 0604. good luck

if you take your puppy to a training class then you may lose some valuable bonding time that really can help you get to know and understand your dog. with some patiece and some tlc you can make a life long and very loyal friend personally i belive you should train your dog by yourself (it costs less too)

ask local vets if they do puppy parties and take them there first for general socialisation. Then progress to training classes. Most vets should know of them, otherwise look in the yellow pages.
The whole point of training classes is that they learn to behave even with the distraction of other dogs there. It’s all very well having a dog well behaved at home trained by yourself but useless if he will not do as he is told when he is outside the home and there are distractions.
