  • Viszla is a Polish hunting dog. The weimaraner is a German Hunting dog. There are many differences in temperment.

  • They are beautiful, but different. Check out the AKC website.

    Good luck!

  • weimaraners are larger, grey in color, etc. etc. bigger dogs !!
Vizslas are red and much smaller

GO TO AKC.ORG and look at them there,,, THEY, in no way, LOOK ALIKE

  • The Weimar dogs ar bigger.

  • Well first of all its call a Weimaraner. The Vizsla has a brighter coat than a Weimaraner. Weimaraner are also larger and is a working dog where the Vizsla is a Hunting dog. Vizslas also tend to live longer. Vizlas are Hungarian while Weimaraners are German.

  • They are very beautiful, and very energetic handfuls as youngsters
The Viszla is Hungarian not from Polan, it was bred for pointing and retrieving so mostly bred for hunting fowl and red in color, They are very people oriented, and intelligent, can be hyper and destructive if they become bored and don’t get enough exercise

The Weimaraner was bred in Germany and is silver blue in color, it was bred as an all purpose gun dog, used for chasing and flushing game, including large animals like bears they have a strong, preydrive
Unlike other dogs that go for the neck to bring down prey, the Wiems instincts is very unusual and that is to bring prey down by the ******** instead, they are a dog that loves to be around people and tend quite often develop seperation anxiety, and some do tend to be aggressive
