Can balance food for dogs cause convulsions on my 11 year old Vizsla?

vizsla
…….V……. asked:

I feed her Royal Canin, it’s a very expensive food. Some weeks ago she stopped eating it, and her minor convulsions were fewer. Today she ate her food and the convulsions were back, can this food cause her this disease? The vet doesn’t seem to find the cause for it, test on her brain can not be done were I live. All the other test were ok. Since january she has had 3 mayor convulsions and she has often minor ones. What do you think? I’m going to stop giving her that food for a week and see what happens.
live in San Juan Argentina, Royal Canin is the best brand we have, and according to the vet it’s a high quality. I mean, where I live I can’t get any better!

  • She *MAY* have an allergy to the food that is causing the reaction. However, it is much more likely that she just has a seizure disorder or is having minor strokes due to her age. I wouldn’t make any bets on it getting too much better. Try the food switch up and hope for the best.

Also, if you are spending that kinda of money for Royal Canin you might as well get a food that is actually of decent quality. Just because a food costs more doesn’t make it good at all. Check ou the 5 and 6 star dog food at this web site. They are the best around the only ones I’d even CONSIDER feeding my baby. Dogfoodanalysis.com

  • Its time 4 a love revolution, I haven’t had any problems with my vizsla.
