Hi I have a Weimaraner,he’s the best dog I’ve ever had,he’s very social,he likes to be around my family all the time get ready for that they do follow you all the time, it’s kind of funny I adore that,great with kids,even little ones,you only have to be careful as they don’t realize they’re so big.They’re very hyperactive,but you said you go to the beach a lot,so that’s great,they love water and swimming.I have never seen a dog that is like Weimaraner,they’re very very attached to their families,they don’t like to be left out and they’re very smart,some people say they’re not but that’s not true.They don’t shed much and they’re also good with other dogs or people.Also Weimaraners are very protective of their families,specially kids,so that makes them great family and guard dogs, they won’t hurt anyone,the will just scare them away if they don’t know them.You should know,that you have to train your Weimaraner from the puppy right away,they learn really quick.I don’t know much about Vizslas,I’ve only heard that they are similar to Weimaraners,I talked to a guy who has Vizsla and he said they’re very similar only a bit smaller.My Weimaraner still amazes me every day, he does something funny every day to make me laugh,they’re little comedians,they’ll do anything to please you.They do tend to get separation anxiety,so you shouldn’t leave them for too long before trained,mine is trained already,so he’s fine,but he does give me the looks for leaving him alone, but he’s very happy when I get back
Before you buy him,check the breeder very well,they should show you all puppies and at least the mother,good breeder will give you some warranty,some puppy food and advice you how to take care of Weimaraner. Over all Weimaraners are really good dogs for families with kids,that’s why I got mine,if you have more questions feel free to write
