littlemiss_daisyrock asked: I have a variety of koi in my pond, plus sturgeons, rudds, grass carp and orfes. One of my small koi (3inch) keeps hiding behind the plant. The first time i saw it I thought it had got trapped so i went in with the net to rescue it. The fish swam back to the rest and i thought nothing of it. But for a good few months now nearly every time i’ve gone to look its been there behind the plant. It does swim around now and again. But it always goes back; while the rest stay in two groups.

catweazle asked: matches in the davis cup….and is it true that 1986 is the last time we got beyond the first round?
also….is there a winner of each group[s] below the world level [and so raising the question of big fish in a small pond versus small fish in a big pond debate] or is all that the lower teams are playing for–.. the right to be involved in a play-off match..ie the teams not lucky enough to be in the top 16 dont have the chance of winning anything–even a second tier/second rate trophy!

Suzita asked: I have a large fish pond in my London garden, which has a thriving collection of mostly goldfish and one or two medium koi carp. The pond was here when I bought the house and I try to look after it well. Last week for the first time I bought two new fish – very small silver koi. I floated the bag they were in on the pond for two hours before releasing them into the pond. I haven’t seen them for three days – they could be hiding under the weeds, but my worry is that they have perished.
Any advice would be of great help. Thank you!

Joanne asked: Ok im thinking to getting rid of my smaller fish like the guppy and tetras (by getting rid i mean give them to my college) and getting either 1 medium biggish fish, and im looking for suggestions and preferably a photo as well.
It MUST be all of these:
Not Small 10cm+ average as an adult.
Nice or interesting to look at.
Not a Cichlid
Community Tank friendly
a top level swimmer (ive got plenty of bottom level swimmers)
My tank will have room for this fish once the small ones are gone and i know all about looking after them (ive done many animal care courses)
the fish im keeping are
2 plecks
2 ideian dwarf striped catfish
1 redfined shark
(they are all non aggressive)
Its a tropical freshwater tank
Its a good sized big propper tank, dont ask the size as i dont know where i put the paper with the measurments and i dont have a tape measure but my lectura says it plenty big enough for whats in there and that was when i had a few more smaller ones in there. (they have owned a petshop, worked in a zoo, written a gecko book and have kept and bred exotic and aquatics for years, so they know there stuff)
